- DAY 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your 3-day luxury Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara tour begins with pickup from the airport or hotel in Arusha. A two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park is made with lunch boxes. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only water source during the dry season. Elephant families are often seen congregating by the river. Giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, lions and leopards may also be spotted. Lunch is served at a picnic site inside the park. After the game drive, transfer to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
- DAY 2: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Your 3-day luxury Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara tour continues with early breakfast. Your safari guide will transfer you to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with lunch boxes. This park features shimmering lakes, wetlands, acacia woodland and broad savannah hidden behind volcanic walls. Once at the bottom, over 500 bird species, zebras, gazelles and wildebeest surround you. The crater provides the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino on open grasslands. After the game drive, return to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge on the crater rim for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
- DAY 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha Airport
Your 3-day luxury Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara tour ends with breakfast followed by departure to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with lunch boxes. This park is small but diverse. The Great Rift Escarpment towers over its western edge. A small salt lake gives the park its name. Thousands of wading birds, including flamingos, call it home. Baboons and elephants may be spotted in the dense evergreen forest. After the game drive, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, where the service ends.
