Your 5-day Tanzania safari and cultural discoveries begins with pickup from the airport or hotel in Arusha. A drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive is made with lunch boxes. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only water source during the dry season. Elephant families congregating by the river can often be seen. Giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, lions and leopards may also be spotted. Lunch is served at a picnic site inside the park. After the game drive, transfer to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and overnight.

Your 5-day Tanzania safari and cultural discoveries continues with breakfast followed by departure to Lake Eyasi. This location is famous for being home to the Hadzabe, the last hunter-gatherers of East Africa whose practices have remained unchanged for over 10,000 years. Another tribe called the Datoga also lives nearby. The Datoga engage in agriculture and are excellent metalworkers. The shallow salty waters of the lake attract many birds including flamingos, weavers and storks. After these activities, return to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and overnight.

Your 5-day Tanzania safari and cultural discoveries takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast. A game drive inside the crater is conducted with lunch boxes. This park has a beautiful environment with shimmering lakes, wetlands, acacia woodland and broad savannah hidden behind volcanic walls. The crater was formed two to three million years ago when a massive volcano exploded and collapsed. After the game drive, transfer to Safari View Luxury Camp inside Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight.

Your 5-day Tanzania safari and cultural discoveries includes an early wake-up for game drives in Serengeti Park. Serengeti is most known for its massive migratory herds of antelope (half a million), wildebeest (one and a half million) and zebras (two hundred and fifty thousand). Lions, cheetahs and leopards may also be witnessed. In the afternoon, departure to Karatu Village for overnight stay. After game drives, transfer to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti Ngorongoro fly-in safari 3 days

Your 5-day Tanzania safari and cultural discoveries ends with a cultural tour of Mto Wa Mbu Village. A warm welcome and guided walk through lush banana plantations and rice fields is provided. Local farming techniques are learned and banana beer is sampled. The bustling village market filled with fresh produce, colorful fabrics and spices is explored. A traditional Tanzanian lunch with ugali, rice pilau, plantains, beans and chapati is served. Craft workshops for Makonde woodcarving, Tinga-Tinga painting and beadwork are visited. After the tour, the safari ends.
